The Worshipful Company of Masons is one of London’s oldest livery companies. Founded in medieval times, it is ranked thirtieth in order of precedence. The Company continues to play an important role in supporting the craft of stonemasonry and in the civic life of the City of London. My book will trace the history of not just the Company, but also of the masons who left their mark on the City of London.
